Biography

Dr. Jason Yarsley is a distinguished medical professional with a comprehensive educational background and extensive experience in the healthcare field. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University in May 2012, following his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida in May 2008. Dr. Yarsley further honed his expertise through an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Miami from 2012 to 2015, where he developed a profound understanding of complex medical conditions. 

Professionally, Dr. Yarsley has contributed significantly to the field, starting as an IV/Chemotherapy Pharmacy Technician at Florida Hospital Waterman from August 2005 to June 2008, and briefly working as a Compounding Pharmacist at Walgreen’s in 2008. His journey continued at the West Palm Beach Veterans Healthcare administration hospital, where he has been serving as a teaching attending, imparting knowledge and guiding future healthcare professionals. 

Dr. Yarsley is an active presenter, regularly leading educational sessions at monthly noon conferences since 2015, covering a wide range of topics from renal and heart failure to diabetes management and fluid/electrolyte replacement. His presentations also include yearly updates on ACS management, common skin and soft tissue infection management, and detailed discussions on specific conditions such as Mounier-Kuhn Syndrome and Stevens Johnson Syndrome. 

His commitment to the medical community extends through his involvement in various professional affiliations and community service roles, including the Clinical Competency Committee and Journal Club at the University of Miami, the Continuing Medical Education Committee, and the Ethics Committee at WPB VAMC. Dr. Yarsley is also a longstanding member of the Association of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and Phi Lambda Sigma, the Pharmacy Leadership Society. 

Dr. Yarsley’s excellence in teaching and medical practice has been recognized through multiple awards, including being named Teaching Attending of the Year multiple times and receiving accolades during his residency for his outstanding contributions. 

Certified by the ABIM since 2015 and holding a voluntary license as a Registered Pharmacist in Florida, Dr. Yarsley’s certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS, emphasizing his preparedness for a wide range of medical emergencies. Residing in West Palm Beach, Florida, Dr. Yarsley continues to be a pivotal figure in the medical community, dedicated to improving patient care through education, clinical practice, and ongoing research.
